3 Easy Ways to Optimize your Social Media Profiles
When you are just starting out with your online business, don't underestimate the power of social media marketing.
Social media platforms are one of the ways potential clients can search for your services and that is why your profile should be optimized for them to see what exactly you offer and what the will gain from hiring you!
The better your social media profile is optimized the easier it will be for them to search for you and match what you offer to their needs.
I would like to give you 3 easy ways to optimize your Social media profiles that will deliver the best results for your business.
Choosing imagery that reflects your brand!
Your social media profile is the face of your business and the first thing potential clients see of you. All the information on your profiles should be clean, easy to read and consistent. It should represent the look and feel of your brand.
Your profile photo
You can choose to use your company logo as your profile photo, but in my opinion I wouldn't recommend that, you want people to see your face and who you are when they land on your profile. People like to see who they will be working with, put your best face forward.
Your cover photo on Facebook
People should be looking at the image and immediately know what you do and what services you offer. If you are a coach, make sure to add what services you offer and to whom. You can also add your logo on your cover photo and make sure the colors are matching your brand.
Make sure your Profile is Complete
Depending on the social media platform you will be asked questions like your website address, Bio etc, make sure to fill out all these questions.
For your bio you get 150 characters to showcase what you do and what your business is about, choose wisely. I added my "elevator pitch" here. It should be short to the point but also very detailed.
Remember to add what problems you solve for your ideal client.
Adding emoji's would make it even more eye-catching
You have more room for text and to describe into detail what you offer and who your ideal client is. Make sure your statement explains exactly what your provide. Add an image of you as a header, so while they reading they get to know the face behind the business.
Include a Call to Action (CTA)
Once they read and know the key information about your business, you should invite them to your website, download your freebie or to book a call with you.Make sure to update this CTA as often as possible, include the most current information, for example if you are hosting a webinar soon, that link should be in your CTA.
I make use of Linktree, all my important link are on my profile for them to click on which ever they want.
Creating and optimizing your social media profiles is very important and shouldn't have to take a lot of your time, be sure to do it regularly. Be consistent with your message throughout your social media platforms. You will be well on your way to winning new business.
